For store and pharmacy chains in Europe

People counting for stores in Europe, on the cameras you already have.

Vizor counts the people who walk in on your existing CCTV cameras and puts them next to your receipts, so you see hour by hour how many bought and how many left without buying. Setup is remote: the cameras connect over the internet, with no site visit and no sensors at the door. The team is based in Chișinău, Moldova.

Compared with a door counter

A door counter counts the door. Cameras show the whole store.

A footfall counter at the door gives you one number. On your existing cameras, artificial intelligence counts the entries and, on the same footage, the checkout queue, movement through the store and the hours when you lose buyers.

No new hardware

Nothing to mount at the door.

We use the cameras you already have, of any brand, as long as one of them sees the entrance. No new cabling and no installation day.

Conversion

Visitors next to receipts, by the hour.

The number of receipts from your POS or ERP, next to the number of visitors. You see the hour when people leave without buying.

All locations

One dashboard, from any country.

Stores in different countries appear in the same dashboard, with the same figures, comparable side by side. The dashboard and the evening report in Telegram are in your language.

How remote setup works

No trip to your store. The cameras connect over the internet.

Distance doesn’t matter: everything needed to start is done online, together with your network administrator.

Step 1

You send us an image.

A still from the entrance camera. Within 24 hours we write back with what can be measured at your location.

Step 2

Camera access over the internet.

Your network administrator opens access to the camera feeds, following our instructions. The store stays open and nobody needs to come on site.

Step 3

Receipts, from your own software.

From the till or your retail management software. If direct reading isn’t possible, a daily file is enough.

Step 4

Pilot: three locations, three months.

The numbers are checked against a manual count in parallel. The pilot can be stopped at any time, with no penalty.

What the location needs

Three things you usually already have.

The camera

A camera that sees the entrance.

Any brand. For queues and zones the sales floor needs to be visible too.

Internet

A stable connection.

Camera footage goes to the Vizor server, so the location needs a stable internet connection.

Receipts

Receipts per hour.

From your POS or ERP. Without them visitors are still counted, but conversion can’t be calculated.

Personal data

In the European Union, GDPR applies. Customers are not identified.

Camera footage is processed on the Vizor server, and customers are not identified and no profile is built on them. Informing customers and the legal basis for the cameras are for you to prepare with your lawyer or data protection officer: we do video analytics, not legal advice.

The data protection authority of each country is listed on the official page of the European Data Protection Board.

Frequently asked questions

The questions people ask from other countries.

Do you work outside Moldova and Romania?

Yes. The team is in Chișinău and setup is remote: the cameras connect over the internet, so the location can be in any European country. We start with a pilot: three locations, three months, with a parallel manual count so you can check the numbers.

Do you need to come to our store?

No. Your network administrator opens access to the cameras following our instructions, and the rest is done remotely. If no camera sees the entrance well, we tell you in advance, from one image, which angle is needed.

Does it work with the cameras we have?

Yes, with cameras of any brand, as long as one of them sees the entrance. For queues and zones the sales floor needs to be visible too. We check coverage from one image per camera before the pilot.

What people counting options are there?

Door sensors (an infrared beam or a 3D ceiling sensor) count entries. Wi-Fi counting counts phones and has been unreliable since phones started changing their own address. Counting by hand is exact, but only for a few hours. Video analytics on existing cameras counts entries and, on the same cameras, the checkout queue and movement through the floor. Vizor does video analytics: the only one of these methods that, on existing cameras, also counts what happens after the door. The full comparison is on the page about people counter.

Can it be linked to the till or the retail management software?

Yes. We take the number of receipts per hour from the till or from your retail management software and put it next to the visitor count. Without receipts, conversion can’t be calculated. If direct reading isn’t possible, a daily file can be uploaded.

What language are the dashboard and reports in?

In your language. The dashboard, the evening report and the alerts are set up in the client’s language, and the figures are the same in any language.

Which data rules apply?

In the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Camera footage is processed on the Vizor server, and customers are not identified and no profile is built on them. Informing customers and the legal basis for the cameras are for you to prepare with your lawyer; we don’t give legal advice.
